After hours of wasted time with Vodaphone and Three with their sad excuses for customer service and their dated, poor quality, barely functional apps, GiffGaff is such a breath of fresh air. Straight forward, easy to use, no problems. Good god, these other companies need to take a hint and get out of the goddamn dark ages.
Easy to active, cheap fees
The app takes me to the website to login, which then consistently fails with message “Something went wrong on our side”. So I have never been able to even use the app. Shockingly awful. Why can’t it have it’s own login (and one that works) just like every other app I have?
Hi sorry just dont really have another way to do this the app wont let me log in and Ive moved to where I dont need this application anymore. I need to cancel payments and delete the account but again the app wont let me log in
Only 5GB EU roaming data so if you go over in the EU you're out of luck and can't increase the roaming data cap without paying loads for any additional data. i have 2 weeks left out of the Uk until i return and now i have to pay through the nose to use GiffGaff as my data provider while out of the house. BOO
First time in Scotland and I needed a pay as you go SIM card. Got the giffgaff and first day the 10£ were gone, i used it for navigating for total of 30 minutes and one cal and that’s it!!! Which I wouldn’t mind if they told me how the money went, so now I have to recharge it and hope for the best. By the way I used pay as you go SIM cards in Cyprus and every time there was a charge they send you an update of how you have been charged and what is left in your account. Giffgaff sent me a message when I had 0£ left and that’s it.
Everything is just perfect with this provider. Things are easily manageable via the app, prices are amazing (£10 for 15 GB?? That you can cancel anytime?) and data of course speedy and available. I love it. I once had a faulty payment and sent a quick message to customer support via the app. Somebody responded within 10min and within half an hour I had my money refunded. The point is that giffgaff just wants to be NICE and is completely user-centric. Their communications are fun and I can manage any issue within 1-2 minutes via the app. The ONLY thing that’s sometimes problematic is the limited EU roaming. According to giffgaff’s fair usage policy, it’s only possible to use a goodybag for 2 months outside without returning back to the UK. I mean it’s fair - in other EU countries data can be much more expensive and they have to cover the difference, so I understand. But as a frequent traveller with multiple residencies that can sometimes be a little troublesome for me. Still, I have been with giffgaff for 3 years and would never want to change!
Got charged twice and they could do nothing about it…………… they had no evidence it occurred even though it was in my bank statement….. Also their service didn’t work at all for me

Giffgaff rolled out 5G sims a few months ago and didn’t test the application’s profile for WiFi hotspots for the new sims. Customer support denied they had a problem and shrugged the issue off as a user problem. After self diagnosis and switching to an older sim to isolate the issue, customer service just said that they were happy to hear that I solved my issue and promptly closed my second ticket. No telling if they will resolve the root problem. Is there anyone at giffgaff supporting this app?
It is not user friendly at all .. I was trying to top up my account as data finished and it cumbersome process 😡😡😡
I paid for a 10 pound top-up and SIM card package (6GB). I used it for less than 24 hours and was suddenly told my credit had dropped to $0. No way I burned through the entire goody bag in that time. There is no customer service line to call. Objectively, a company which fails to provide any proper customer service and which provides faulty products has failed its customers. If any employee of giffgaff can reach out to me and help me, I would be willing to change this review.
Started with 4GB- lasted a week. That was fine. Topped up with £10 6GB - less than 24 hours says no data!! Used a new prepurchased SIM with 4GB- still says 0 Data. Frustrating! Rebooted still no data and email response says a response in 5 days!! Really?! How about now!

This is an excellent app, but My Payback doesn’t update at all. I’ve earned three paybacks and my app still says I have zero. Could you fix this please?
I would like to be able to see my usage. I’d like to ask questions of how the service works, and make decisions based on that information. I’d like to know what is and is not covered in my goodie bag. What the credit balance is used for and see those transactions. I feel like I’m hostage of money spent without ever knowing where it’s being us. I’d like to up able to upgrade data without starting a plan over. I can’t find a place to communicate with anyone who responds.
The App works as designed. Shows status and data consumed. Can make payments and top off quickly as needed.
Hard to use and find info
Not bad but underwhelming. It should have a simple option to see how much from my balance was spend on text, phone calls and data.
The most simple and effective usage app / website I've seen. Very user friendly. Giffgaff in general has been hugely impressive so far!
Worthless app. Crashes every time. Can't get passed the login screen.
Reinstalling the app didn’t help. Saw the login screen, but as soon as it tried to authenticate my details, it crashed and continues to do so on subsequent launches.
As soon as I open the app it crashes. I've never fully been able to get on the app before it crashes.
Ok so I fork out $770 for iPad Air 2 wifi n cellular Can't receive calls. Can't do nothing. So wth Someone help cos I'm seeing a lot of Google results saying u can. But don't work for me

This app is quite literally just a bunch of links that open in safari forcing me to type in credentials every time. Why was this even released?
Could do with iPhone 5 support, and the ability to change auto top-up / goodybag renewal settings from within the app. Also the username field mistakenly accepts uppercase characters. However this is very useful for checking remaining balance, and accessing APN settings if needed.
